Anti-Trump Media PAC Suggests Booting Newsmax Correspondent From White House Briefing Room
At issue is Emerald Robinson's ANTI-VAX falsehoods
Although Emerald Robinson, White House correspondent for the far-right cable television Newsmax network has already seen her Twitter account suspended for seven days for trafficking in COVID vaccine disinformation, a pro-democracy and anti-Donald Trump political action committee is urging that she face further sanction, as well.
Robinson's found herself locked out of her Twitter account for breaking terms of service by tweeting that the vaccine contains a tracer called “Lucifer,” which is untrue.
However, the management at MeidasTouch.com is looking for Robinson to face harsher punishment for spreading vaccine disinformation.
Specifically, they want her booted from her prime perch in the White House press briefing room.
Formed initially to campaign against Trump, MeidasTouch funds and produces a variety of content aimed at supporting democracy and opposing Republicans.
“If you can't be trusted with Twitter access, you shouldn't be trusted with White House access. Newsmax should be banned from the briefing room for having their correspondent spread covid disinfo that the vaccine contains a Satanic tracing chemical named 'luciferase,’” the MeidasTouch.com account tweeted Wednesday.
Seating of reporters in the White House press room is overseen by the White House Correspondents' Association, which would have the say over Robinson's presence.
