‘Bloodbath for the Country’: Trump Makes Ominous Threat if He's Not Elected
Republican continues trend of dark rhetoric
Donald Trump made a menacing threat if he’s not elected president in November.
Trump, who’s clinched the 2024 Republican presidential nomination despite multiple criminal indictments against him, issued his warning Saturday during a rambling campaign rally in Ohio.
During a long rant about electric vehicles and China, Trump pivoted to some of his darkest rhetoric yet as he spoke to a crowd in Dayton, Ohio.
The former president has been amping up his rhetoric in terms of a love of authoritarianism and the language of Nazis.
“We’re going to put a 100 percent tariff on every single car comes across the line, and you won’t be able to sell those cars. If I get elected,” said Trump, who likely will face a rematch against President Biden. “Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s gonna be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s going to be the least of it. It’s gonna be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the least of it.”
