'Christian Nationalist' Is The New Right-wing Code Word for 'White Supremacist'
Marjorie Taylor Greene worked into froth with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow
Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene is in a lather over MSNBC host Rachel Maddow uncovering the Nazi and white supremacist underpinnings of Christian Nationalism after the Georgia Republican called herself a Christian Nationalist.
“I am being attacked by the godless left because I said I’m a proud Christian Nationalist. These evil people are even calling me a Nazi because I proudly love my country and my God. The left has shown us exactly who they are. They hate America, they hate God, and they hate us,” Greene frothed on social media.
The truth is that Maddow simply uncovered Christian Nationalism's white supremacist core.
“Marjorie Taylor Greene melted down because Rachel Maddow exposed the truth about her beliefs. Racism and bigotry, not Christianity, is the central ideology of Christian Nationalism,” tweeted Sarah Reese Jones, editor-in-chief and co-publisher of PoliticusUSA.
“You smeared yourself, Marge. I know, it sounded so good to you cuz it has 'Christian' and 'nation' in it. So you said you were a Christian Nationalist! But if you read books like Rachel does, you'd have known it means Nazi. Which you are. Go pose with a gun, you'll feel better,” tweeted Randi Mayem Singer, Hollywood screenwriter of Mrs Doubtfire and other movies.
