‘Hillary is Coming’: Unhinged Trump Claims 2016 Foe Will Return
Republican baselessly says that Harris will be replaced
Continuing a line of nonsensical and bizarre claims and observations, Donald Trump predicts that Vice President Kamala Harris soon will be replaced as the Democratic ticket by the woman he defeated eight years ago.
Speaking to rallygoers Friday in Aurora, Colo, Trump baselessly claimed that the Democrat he faced in 2016 — former secretary of state Hillary Clinton — will make a comeback.
The former president, making his third run for the White House this year, has long been making weird and off-the-wall statements on the campaign trail, including remarks about the fictional movie character Hannibal Lecter and whether it’s better to die from electrocution or shark attack.
But with less than a month before Election Day, Trump now claims that somehow Democrats will replace Harris with Clinton.
Although Harris replaced President Biden in July as her party’s standard-bearer, Harris now is the official Democratic nominee and actively is campaigning across the country.
There is absolutely no basis for thinking that Clinton is contemplating a return as any candidate.
“Uh-oh, I just thought, just a thought from a very brilliant mind. They might want to put a third person in there. Oh, no,” Trump said. “Please be nice to Kamala, to my people I’m telling. Everybody that’s on the Trump team, be nice to Kamala because they’re going to put a third person in. Let’s see, who are they going to put in next?”
“Hillary!” shouted someone from the crowd.
“This can only — they keep saying Hillary, Hillary’s coming. Oh, Hillary’s back!” Trump said.
