Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal First Step In Biden's 'Communization' of America
Right-winger calls 19 Senate Republicans who advanced the infrastructure deal "cowardly"
Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene is at it again.
The Georgia Republican who has had too much time on her hands since the House stripped her of her committee assignments for her social media endorsement of the assassination of Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other prominent Democrats, has released a new video in which she calls the Senate's bipartisan infrastructure plan the first step in President Biden's “communization of America.”
The infrastructure legislation — which would refurbish the nation's aging and deteriorating roads, bridges, lead-filled drinking water supplies, electric grid and more — was approved only after meticulous negotiation by a group of both Senate Democrats and Republicans.
In all, 19 Republicans joined Senate Democrats to approve the legislation — 19 fellow Republicans who Greene now calls “cowardly” in her minute-long video, which she released on social media.
Some of these Republicans Greene calls out as “cowardly,” include such conservatives and opponents of Biden's as Sens Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Dan Sullivan of Alaska.
“Now Republicans need to stay united, and stop this bill,” Greene said.
Except that, in the House, for most matters House Democratic leadership need bring it to the floor for a vote and allow the Democratic majority to approve it.
Not only that, but the American people support infrastructure spending by wide — often 2 to 1 — margins.
Nevermind the fact that Donald Trump kept talking about a $1 trillion infrastructure package, but never getting it done.
Greene's video is just another example of the right-wing living in their own reality.
