More JD Vance ‘Weird’: Candidate Stalks the VP
Republican senator walks tarmac looking for Kamala Harris
Sen JD Vance just can’t seem to stop acting weird.
Donald Trump’s running mate followed Vice President Kamala Harris at the same airport tarmac where she and her new running mate had stopped for a raucous campaign rally in the Midwest battleground with her own new running mate, Minnesota Gov Tim Walz.
Vance, an Ohio Republican, was recorded on the tarmac with his entourage and the reporters covering him, walking up towards the airplane Harris uses as Air Force Two.
“So, I think you’re covering the vice president here. I figured I’d come by and wanted to just get a good look at the plane because hopefully it’s going to be my plane in a few months,” Vance told the reporters. “But I also thought you guys might get lonely because the vice president doesn’t answer questions from reporters and hasn’t for 17 days.
Joan Walsh, a journalist for Salon and longtime political analyst, called out Vance for his cringy effort to essentially stalk the vice president of the United States.
“She’s got the Secret Service, but now she’s also got this stalker going around from city to city like a hang dog ex-husband trying to find her. So, I trust the Secret Service, but I’m glad that she has Tim Walz there, too. He’s on it,” Walsh said, in an on-camera appearance on MSNBC host Joy Reid’s program.
“Yeah. It is so weird. It is so weird. Like, Trump is playing golf somewhere while JD Vance is, like, stalking the vice president and saying weird stuff to reporters,” Reid said. “Like, he’s not helping to make himself not seem weird.”
