Rival To Be Trump’s Running Mate ‘Dancing’ on Noem’s Political Grave With Dog Photo
South Dakota's Republican governor admits to shooting two animals dead
MAGA Republican Kari Lake wasn't being subtle with the photo she posted to social media of her and her dog, Sushi.
The Arizona candidate for US Senate clearly was celebrating the widespread revulsion with South Dakota Gov Kristi Noem’s admission — and pride over that admission — that she shot and killed her dog and one of her family goats.
Noem, herself, revealed the animal killings in her forthcoming book, No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward, which was excerpted over the weekend by The Guardian.
Whatever benefit Noem expected to get from her twisted confession seems unlikely to arrive, as even other right-wingers seem repelled by the story.
“You can recover from a lot of things in politics, change the narrative etc. But not from killing a dog,” Meghan McCain, daughter of the late Republican senator — and presidential candidate — John McCain, posted on social media.
Noem had been atop the list of Donald Trump’s potential running mates, but she seems to have murdered any chance in the veepstakes along with her animals.
So it was that Lake — the election denier who lost her bid two years ago for Arizona governor — was on social media Sunday, very clearly luxuriating in a bit of schadenfreude.
Ron Filipkowski, a popular left-leaning journalist and influencer retweeted Lake’s post with the comment: “There it is. All the Noem rivals for Trump’s affection are dancing on her political grave now.”
