'Sleeping With The Enemy'
Her campaign manager raided, Boebert lashes out at Democrat Eric Swalwell
Rep Lauren Boebert of Colorado saw her former campaign manager raided Monday by the FBI for potential involvement in — what else? — voter fraud.
But instead of taking to the House floor to address the investigation — or even to defend her former campaign manager, Sherronna Bishop — the far-right Republican chose, instead, to make a speech trying to smear several Democratic colleagues, including Rep Eric Swalwell of California.
Boebert, loudly, tried to resurrect the long-dead story of Swalwell's relationship with suspected Chinese operative Fang Fang.
Although Swalwell knew the suspected spy several years ago, federal investigators alerted Swalwell, who has not been accused of any wrongdoing, to their concerns about Fang.
Swalwell cut ties with Fang “immediately” and not long after that, she left the country. “U.S. officials do not believe Fang received or passed on classified information,” Axios reported.
That didn't stop Boebert's rampage Tuesday, accusing Swalwell of “sleeping with the enemy” while serving on the House Intelligence Committee.
Boebert also leveled outlandish complaints at Reps Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif).
Boebert was so unhinged as she finished her brief remarks that she had to be graveled into silence.
Swalwell responded to the wild attack this way: “Weird. If I had done anything wrong the FBI would have raided my house. They didn’t (and went as far to issue a statement saying I did nothing wrong). BUT yesterday they did raid the home of @laurenboebert’s campaign manager. They’re always projecting.”
