'Stop': Marjorie Taylor Greene Takes Swipe at Celebration of Kwanzaa
Georgia congresswoman's attack was against the College Republicans
Republican Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene has found a new subject for her outrage — just in time for the holiday season.
Greene, the outlandish right-wing congresswoman from Georgia who also believes in the QAnon conspiracy theories and thinks that Jewish-owned lasers in outer space have caused California wildfires, has turned her anger this time on other Republicans trying to celebrate the holiday of Kwanzaa.
Greene commented on a tweet from the College Republicans, wishing people “a happy and prosperous Kwanza!”
“Stop. It’s a fake religion created by a psychopath. You aren’t bringing in new voters, you are turning them away. People are tired of pandering and BS,” the congresswoman wrote.
Kwanzaa is an annual week-long celebration that honors Black history and culture. It began in 1966.
It celebrates seven values in African culture: unity, self-determination, collective responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith. Kwanzaa runs from December 26 through January 1.
