Tucker Carlson Goes Full White Supremacist
It's time to go straight to Carlson's advertisers and get him off the air for good
Like most so-called conservatives these days, when Tucker Carlson talks about race, ethnicity and immigration in the United States, he uses loaded dog-whistles and code words.
But, sometimes, like his Wednesday evening program on Fox News, the code words fall away and Carlson goes full bore into racist language and his white supremacist and white nationalist sympathies.
And, as he did so, of course he twisted President Biden's words along the way.
Carlson returned Wednesday to the issue of immigration at the southern border, which has been pretty much stock-in-trade for all of the Fox News hosts practically since the moment Joe Biden was inaugurated.
But the way that Carlson approached the topic Wednesday was particularly ugly.
“An unrelenting stream of immigration. But why? Well, Joe Biden just said it, to change the racial mix of the country. That’s the reason, to reduce the political power of people whose ancestors lived here and dramatically increase the proportion of Americans newly arrived from the Third World. And then Biden went further. He said that non-white DNA is the, quote, ‘source of our strength.’ Imagine saying that. This is the language of eugenics, it’s horrifying. But there’s a reason Biden said it. In political terms, this policy is called the great replacement — the replacement of legacy Americans with the more obedient people from far away countries. They brag about it all the time, but if you dare to say it’s happening they will scream at you with maximum hysteria,” Carlson said. “And here you have Joe Biden confirming his motive on tape with a smile on his face. No one who talks like this should ever be the president of the United States.”
There's just so much wrong here with what Carlson said, it's just hard to know where to start.
So let's start with this: Carlson's being disingenuous to the point of outright lying here.
President Biden's never said that he has as a goal to change any racial mix of the United States.
What he has said — that quote that Carlson pulls out — is, yes, that immigrants are a “source of our strength.”
That's been a standard Biden quote going back to the campaign. Because he is right. Immigrants are a source of great strength for the United States — now and in the future.
Okay, let's continue through this dreck.
Carlson refers to a policy of the “great replacement.”
This is perhaps one of greatest examples of projection ever from a right-winger.
The “great replacement” certainly is a theory and philosophy — and a very racist one — but it's not Biden's nor does it originate with him at all.
The “great replacement” is a racist and antisemitic theory in which racists believe that the “white race” is being killed off, or “replaced” in favor of other racial and ethnic groups.
Here's the truth: the white population of United States is shrinking — to the point where, sometime in the coming couple of decades, will become the ethnic minority.
To which I say, “Big whoop.”
It's only a crisis if you are a white supremacist or white nationalist, like ol' Tuck over there.
Oh, and one last thing with what Carlson had to say. What's this about “more obedient people from far away countries”?
What makes people from other countries more obedient? Did he ask all of them? Did he commission an opinion poll? I doubt it. It sounds like more made-up racist garbage.
So, just to review here: Carlson completely misrepresented what President Biden had to say when the president rightly — and proudly — praised immigrants and the role that they play in this nation.
White people are becoming an ethnic minority — I'm your average white girl and I shrug and say, “Big deal.”
It's time for we all to deluge each and every company which advertises on Tucker Carlson's program and tell them that we will not stand any longer for racism on television. Tell them to pull their support now, and get Tucker Carlson off the air for good.
