Violent New Videos Unearthed In January 6 Insurrection Case
Rioters can be seen hurling trash can at a police officer
A journalist covering the adjudication in court of defendants in connection with the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol Building has posted violent videos which apparently have not before been made public.
Zoe Tillman, senior reporter at Buzzfeed News, obtained and posted the videos in connection with the case of Robert Schornak, who pled guilty Monday in federal court.
“We received a new set of Jan. 6 videos in the case of Robert Schornak, who pleaded guilty. It's all surveillance footage, and I don't believe we've seen this one before — it shows rioters clashing with police in the Crypt lobby, at :30 someone hurls a trash can at an officer,” Tillman tweeted.
Schornak is just one of many violent extremists supporting Donald Trump who are being sentenced in federal court for participating in the violent insurrection on January 6 with the intention of overturning the legitimate and lawful certification of Joe Biden as the next president of the United States.
In the series of videos posted on social media by Tillman, Schornak can be seen taking a selfie, as well as carrying an American flag that he admitted taking from the Capitol, per his plea deal documents.
