White House Pins Claim Vaccine Mandates Cut Workforce On 'World Renowned Business Travel And Health Expert Senator Ted Cruz'
"Ultimately the job of the president of the United States is to lead, to follow the advice of health experts, to protect the lives of people across the country,” press secretary says
White House press secretary Jen Psaki clearly was enjoying herself a bit Tuesday when she swatted away a baseless claim that vaccine mandates, such as those being imposed by the Biden administration, somehow are cutting the US workforce.
Psaki was asked about that claim, that such mandates are causing a shrinkage in the workforce, during her regular daily press briefing.
“I know world renowned business travel and health expert, Senator Ted Cruz, has made that point but I wouldn't say that's been widely acknowledged or echoed by business leaders who have implemented these mandates, by health experts who have conveyed that the way to get out of the pandemic is taking exactly the steps that the president has announced, and we are trying to implement,” Psaki said. “That doesn't mean this isn't hard, or challenging. Of course it is. We are in the middle of a global pandemic.
“But, ultimately the job of the president of the United States is to lead, to follow the advice of health experts, to protect the lives of people across the country,” she added.
